Alright already...

With two days left before my Block Leave starts, one would think I'd have all my preparations complete. When it's obvious this one guy doesn't know me very well. I have once again procrastinated to the extreme and have to jump through hurdles to make sure everything is taken care of in the 13 days I will be here in January before I head out on deployment. Here is the short list of things I need to do:
  • Order nametapes for the cammies I received from CTEP and my gear.
  • Figure out how many nametapes I need for all my gear.
  • Go to the CIF to exchange the old gear for the new gear (don't ask).
  • Get the nametapes sown on properly.
  • Take a promotion picture (becomes exponentially more difficult with each passing day I spend with my wife since I don't exercise and I eat like a pig while she is here).

On the bright side, Tuesday night is bowling night! It's the last night of the league and I need to come up big to cement myself as a power in the league. I wonder if that reads as good as it sounds in my head? Bowling is a habit I picked up from my Dad and got pushed along by Rob. I scheduled a little bowling date with my parents, the wife, and me while I'm back home visiting for the holidays. Should be a good time even if it is on their playing field!

Did I mention that no one is at work? Block Leave can be a wonderful thing. Well, the Marine Times is calling my name. Time to find out what the new field days in the barracks are going to be like.
